Moroccan lookbook!

Fall break is over, so here I am again. Back to writing with lots of new stories to tell. During Fall break, my family and I went on a short trip to Fès, Morocco. I must be honest, I didn't vlog anything. I just enjoyed my stay. However, I have thought about you guys. I think the Moroccan culture is a very strong one with lots of arts such as tapestry, mosaics, wood craft ... and of course the clothing style.

In Morocco, people most often dress based on their religion, which means wearing long dresses that cover up everything or something like that. I find it obvious that I, as a tourist, pay respect to their culture, so out of respect, I brought only clothing with me that was acceptable to their religion. That means: no short skirts or shorts or something like that.

So in this blog, I'm going to show you all of the outfits I wore in Morocco. Read along and pick up some outfit inspiration!

OUTFIT DAY 1

Today is travel day so I chose a comfortable but still kinda fancy outfit. 'Cause girls, let's be honest: we all want to be able to travel in style just like those influencers on the gram! ;) I'm wearing long, wide, black dotted, pink trousers. If that wasn't a difficult explanation, I don't know what is difficult anymore. Anyway, I'm combining these with a simple plain black turtleneck. You know, to make sure it's not too much, because the trousers alone are already pretty hectic. And with that, I'm just wearing my silver classic shoes. A pretty but lazy outfit!

OUTFIT DAY 2

Well, let's start with an apology for this one because I don't really like it. Or no, wait, I really like the outfit, but it's just not really a Morocco worthy one. But I wore it so that I could tell you about it. Wearing just a classic Levis jeans. Honestly no idea if it's a mom jeans, but it kinda looks like it. On top of that, one of my favorite sweaters everrrrrr. So freakin' comfy, I actually bought the same one but with another print from the new collection HAHAHAHA. For shoes, I'm wearing these super old Adidas sneakers with a black snake print and straps. I don't really like them but it was rainy that day and I didn't want to mess up my other shoes. But I must say that I kinda like the combination with the hot pink handbag. It gives the look some spice.

OUTFIT DAY 3

Sun's out, bun's out. Not really bun's out, but time for long skirts. On the planning for today: a day trip to the ruins of a super old Roman city (Volubilis) and an important royal city called Meknès. Anyway, I didn't really know what to expect so I just picked a simple but fancy outfit that would fit with everything. Just wearing the same turtleneck as in the first outfit but this time combining it with a shimmery golden long skirt. And topped it off with some golden jewels. This is definitely one of my favorite outfits. I think it's very classy but gives a princess feeling at the same time. Really really like this one, I even like the sneakers with it!

OUTFIT DAY 4

Another day of pure sunshine, another long skirt day! It's actually not a skirt but a dress, to be precise. You've definitely seen this dress before: I also wore it on one of the pictures of the 'ugly location photoshoot challenge'. As you can see, I combined it just the exact same way as last time, except one small difference: this time, I'm wearing my hot pink handbag. I actually love the handbag. Not only the looks of it, but there is so much space in it! I should say it differently: there is easily enough space to take with me all the things I need. I have no idea how much you guys take with you in your handbag, but I always try not to take too much. To give you an idea of the space, I took with me: my earplugs, my phone, my charger, my sunglasses (in a case) and a small hair brush. Anyway, I loved this outfit, it was a very cheerful one by combining the dots with the pink bag and the silver shoes. And love it or hate it: the combination with the white black-dotted scarf.

OUTFIT DAY 5

Already the last day of this short trip, but definitely not the least. For this last day, I'm wearing a long dress again, but this time with a more Autumn feeling. The warm tones always make me feel like Fall, the colors of the trees. I adore these bordeaux shoes. They make me feel like I'm living in another century, an earlier one.

This was already the last outfit. I hope you got some inspiration or just had a good time reading this. I know I haven't written a lot about the activities we did or what we visited, but I was unsure whether that was what you wanted to read. If you want to know more about it or would like some tips for your visit, please let me know and I will do the best I can to make another blog about it!

But for now, thanks for reading! If you haven't subscribed yet, do it now! And if you haven't seen my new home page, my new everything, go check it out (still low key loving the travel vids, it's worth checking out)!

Kisses, Astrid
