Hi hi hi, my dearest followers aka friends aka readers or whatever you want me to call you. You know what, let's think of a name to call you, something like the 'beliebers' of Justin Bieber but than the ... of me :). Hahaha just kidding.
Anyway today is THE day. I, Astrid Bruyndonckx aka single lady for life, is going to give you (the best) dating advice you've ever heard, or should I say read? The coziest months are standing right outside at our front doors, these are also the ones with the cutest and coziest date opportunities ever! So let's get right into it!
1. BE CONFIDENT
I know (I can imagine) it's stressful; what should I say not to look weird, how should I act, do I have to be timid or should I be open ... There are so many things you think about in your head that can go wrong. Even though there is so much that can go wrong, just be yourself and everything will be allright. If he or she doesn't like you like that, that's sad, but not everyone can like you!
2. THE PLACE 2 BE
Boys and girls, fall and winter are in the houseeeeeee!!! It's time for the most cosy dates of the year! Let me give you some inspiration to scoreeeee at your date!
- Fall hike: go out in the woods for a hike! Omg I'm already imagining how it would be. Outside in the fresh air, beautiful landscapes in the warm fall tones.
- Hot choco: drinking hot choco at the fireplace while watching (a cheesy) movie. Make s'mores above the fireplace. To make it an even sweeter night, add some marshmallows to your choco!
- Christmas market timeeeee!!! Take him/her to the Christmas market, go ice skating, eat churros, try out some attractions, ... Such a typical oneeeeee.
If you still haven't found the right thing to do, go watch some super, over the top cheesy Christmas movies. I assure you that you will find the perfect date location by watching movies like that. For the ones who have no idea which Christmas movies are the cheesiest ones, again, don't worry, I made a list of my personal favorites! You should definitely go check them out anyway. They are just too good. HAHAHA
Enough with my Christmas movie obsession, let's move on with my tips...
3. PHONE BYE, BOY HI!
For once, put that poisoned thing away. You might have talked already on chat to each other, but now the both of you are here in real life, start a conversation. How? Well that's simple, you speak out words by using your mouth and your tongue. Now, you make sentences with them. Preferably full sentences. He or she might be so stunning, you totally get lost, but please try your hardest! It really isn't that difficult, the technique of speaking at least, having the courage to actually do it is another thing.
4. TURN THE PAGE
Pls girl, leave your ex out of the conversation. You left him for a reason. Now that you're with another guy, hopefully someone you like more, so don't go ruin this shit by talking about everything he did wrong. This kind of conversations can come later on, but don't go that way on your first date. If you do it, he/she might feel like you're still not over him/her. And that's a major letdown.
5. HAVE A GOOD TIME
Of everything I said, this is definitely the most important one! ENJOY!
6. JUST ASK IT
I know how scary it is to ask someone on a date, but asking someone is so brave. I don't know 'bout you but if someone is brave enough to aks me on a date, the answer would be yes. If he means it of course. I can imagine how scary it is to ask someone out in real life but just do it cause it's very impressive if someone is brave enough to face their fears for you!
Honestly, this blog is the hardest thing I've ever done. I expected I could write something, but it seems like I know nothing about it at all. Like wtf, can someone pls help this helpless person over here. This is dramatic. This is probably not only the hardest blog ever but also the shortest one. If someone feels like giving me a speedcourse dating, pls give me a call. I would appreciate it!
Anyway, I hope my tips are after all a little useful. Really hope you guys liked this blog. I had so much fun writing it. It made me realize how dumb I am when it comes to love hahahahaha.
