Flower power

Flower Power, it’s such a trend, but what the hell is it?! Well, no panic, soon y’all know what it is!

Let me begin with the begin. Flower power is originated in the late 60’s and early 70’s in the US. They wanted to turn the war into peace and love. Everything they do is related with peace and love.

Now, their clothing …. They wear loose clothes made of natural substances. Tie-dye was also a very popular style by the hippies, not only back then, the style is coming back. Most of the hippies has long hair. They wore also 2 very different styles, the grandma skirt and short see-trough clothing, these two are soooo different.

THE biggest thing by the hippies … flowers. Yup. That’s why we say ‘Flower power’. They where pretty much every where. Flowers are the symbol for hippies, because they stand for peace and love. Peace and love was very important for them. They put real flowers in their hair and paint flowers on their face. They wanted to take care of the nature too.
